Whether you’re running a brick-and-mortar storefront, a pop-up, a booth at a craft fair, or an online shop, you’re in RETAIL, and there are resources to help you manage your INVENTORY and CASH FLOW.
Join us for this workshop to learn how to estimate your expenses and apply simple formulas to INCREASE YOUR PROFITS. We’ll work with:
- Industry Ratios to help you determine your expenses – and where your actions can have the most effect
- Management Formulas to estimate how much Inventory you need – and how much is too much
Bring your own 2014 Business Tax Return/Schedule C if you have one (and prior years if you’d like to analyze how your business is doing over a longer period of time), and bring your Retail Business Questions! Start-ups are welcome, and we will have sample financials if you don’t have your own yet.

Denise Keller
Training and Technical Assistance Officer
Denise is a serial retailer who opened her first business as a teenager and operated it profitably for over ten years. Later businesses included a home party/pop-up, another brick-and-mortar, and an online store.
After a number of years working with government and nonprofit organizations, she returned to small business as a counselor and coach through the SBDC (Small Business Development Center) and now serves as the training and technical assistance officer at UCEDC.
Having learned from experience, Denise brings a collaborative, practical approach to helping people solve problems and create profitable small businesses.
