Markeila Dawkins
Loan Portfolio Assistant
Markeila Dawkins serves as a Loan Portfolio Assistant at UCEDC, where she supports the loan team in maintaining the health and performance of the organization’s loan portfolio. In her role, she works directly with borrowers to help ensure compliance with annual Small Business Administration (SBA) requirements and assists with a variety of servicing requests throughout the life of their loans.
Markeila studied Communicative Sciences and Disorders at New York University. Prior to joining UCEDC, she worked in debt settlement, gaining valuable experience in financial services and client relations. Her background has helped develop strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills that she brings to her work supporting borrowers and the lending team.
Outside of work, Markeila enjoys writing, traveling, baking, and spending time in nature.
