Marketing Essentials for Small Business – Millville
Presented in partnership with Holly City Development Corporation
This workshop serves as an introduction to the basic principles of marketing practices, and the application of these practices, especially for small businesses in local markets. We’ll define marketing terminology and the framework for a successful marketing strategy. Specific focus will be on:
- The elements of the marketing mix: the “4Ps of marketing” (Product, Price, Place, Promotion)
- The importance of conducting a SWOT analysis
- Identifying your customer profile and carrying out target marketing
- Making effective local advertising choices, including social media
Alejandro Cruz is a training and mentoring officer at UCEDC, a statewide nonprofit economic development corporation that provides loans to startup and growing businesses, government contracting assistance, and training workshops to entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Prior to joining UCEDC, Alejandro held Project Manager positions at Wicresoft and Solar Renewable firms in New Jersey creating financial forecasts for business startups. He also served as lead consultant for three years for an economic development center in South Jersey.
