Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) – 2.0 Readiness Review
Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certifications (CMMC) is a combination of various cybersecurity standards and best practices that is supported by the U.S. Department of the Defense (DoD) and built upon existing regulations where compliance is based on trust and a verification component.
Most companies that work with the U.S. Department of Defense will soon need to meet CMMC requirements to bid on contracts. How prepared are you for CMMC? In this webinar, we’ll discuss:
• Establishing system access requirements
• Controlling internal systems access
• Limiting data access to authorized users
• Protecting various media and communications systems and information integrity
Don’t miss the opportunity to learn about what will likely be required for a business to become cybersecurity-compliant in order to do business with the Department of Defense.

Liam’s career in Information Technology began in 1988 while working for GPU, the former parent company of Jersey Central Power and Light (JCP&L). For eight of his twenty-five plus years in IT, he has held positions in management with well-known companies such as Liz Claiborne and SunGard. Liam transitioned into the role of IT consultant and left IT management in order to focus on the needs of small to medium-sized businesses. He excels in this role because he fully understands the importance that technology plays when it comes to its impact on “the bottom-line.” He is able to present multiple options for small/medium-sized businesses which ensures that the technology that is deployed is congruent with the business’s needs while still remaining within budget.
Maryann brings over 30 years of government contracting experience to her position as director of UCEDC’s PTAC program. She brings a unique perspective to the job as she’s held positions on both sides of the table – helping businesses to obtain government contracts as well as overseeing the government contract process for a manufacturing concern in New Jersey.
Following an 18-year tenure as a senior contracting official for Greenbrier Industries in Englewood Cliffs, Maryann served as director of the Rockland County PTAC for 13 years. She joined UCEDC in 2007, and under her direction, the PTAC program was awarded the 2010 “Outstanding Center Award” by the Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (APTAC).
In her role as a procurement counselor with UCEDC’s PTAC program, Nadine assists small business owners with marketing and selling their products and services to federal, state and local government agencies.
With more than 20 years of combined experience in both the public and private sectors of government contracting, Nadine has a thorough grasp of how to navigate the government contracting system. She believes that this familiarity enables her to successfully help small businesses understand how to find, bid, win, and perform on government contracts.
This Procurement Technical Assistance Center is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency and the Union County Board of County Commissioners.
