The Million Dollar Challenge

A small business lending initiative for Hudson County.

UCEDC has teamed up with the Hudson County Economic Development Corporation (HCEDC) to launch “The Million Dollar Challenge”, a new loan program aimed at increasing access to capital for the county’s business owners and entrepreneurs.

Simply put, we are committed to getting at least $1 million of fairly priced capital into the hands of viable start-ups and growing small businesses that would otherwise be denied conventional lending.

With loans from $5,000 to $5 million, we can help everyone from a sole proprietor working from home who may need a new laptop and software to a generations-old manufacturing company ready to make the move from leasing to owning its business location.
